While Bing Crosby dreamed of one, Saskatoon can definitively say they’ll get a ‘White Christmas’ in 2019.
Environment Canada released its latest snow cover models on Wednesday, attached with the probability of a white Christmas for each major city across the prairies.
Those models show a 100 per cent chance of Saskatoon maintaining snow cover of two centimetres or more on December 25.

The forecast does have the possibility of some snow melting on Friday, with a sunny day and projected high of 1 C. However, light flurries are expected to replenish any lost snow before the big holiday.
People living in southern Saskatchewan cities who want a white Christmas will hope to beat the Environment Canada odds. Regina has just a 30 per cent chance of having two centimetres on the ground, while Swift Current has just a 10 per cent chance.
Kindersley comes in at 60 per cent, Weyburn at 40 per cent and Cypress Hills at 80 per cent chance of a white Christmas.
