A 44-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman are facing several charges after a big drug bust in Saskatoon and the surrounding area.
Members of the Saskatoon Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU) along with other police agencies have made a huge seizure, which includes more than 230,000 grams of cannabis.
That 232,043 grams of cannabis is equal to nearly 930,000 average-sized joints.
On Dec. 15 search warrants were executed at three Saskatoon locations: the 2400 block of Hanover Avenue, the 400 block of Pendygrasse Road, and a storage locker facility on the 3000 block of 11th Street West. Another search warrant was executed at an acreage west of Saskatoon in the Grandora area.
Along with the cannabis, 4871 grams of shatter (cannabis concentrate) was seized, 2045 THC oil vape pens, and 501.9 grams of psilocybin.
They also seized cash, three vehicles, a boat and trailer, two recreational vehicles and a riding mower.
Police also found weapons including a .40 calibre pistol, two stun guns, three loaded magazines and .40 calibre ammunition.
The bust is the result of a four-month long investigation into illegal cannabis and derivative trafficking and proceeds of crime.
