Brady, Rodgers, Wilson, Brees — the NFL is filled with Super Bowl-winning, star-studded quarterbacks. Their jerseys fly off the shelves all over North America. It wouldn’t surprise me to see Lamar Jackson’s name in that elite company before his career is over.
After the 2016 Heisman Trophy winner made the jump to the NFL last season, Jackson had 117 yards rushing in a game last November, and I remember thinking at the time that it was a “one off.” He has proven me and many others wrong.
Jackson is just a true athlete. On Sunday he rushed for 105 yards and scored a rushing touchdown from his quarterback position in a three-point win over San Francisco. He is currently the eighth-leading rusher in the league, and a big reason why the Ravens top the NFL’s overall standings at 10-2.
Jackson’s NFL career is only 19 starts old, so if you haven’t noticed Jackson much yet, you will soon.
