Police in Prince Albert are asking the public to be on the lookout for a prisoner who escaped the minimum-security unit at the Saskatchewan Penitentiary.
In a news release, the Correctional Service of Canada said staff members discovered that James Fred Katsiris was not accounted for during a count at 8:30 p.m. Sunday. A warrant for his arrest has been issued.
Katsiris, 36, is described as five feet, 10 inches tall and 168 pounds. He has a medium complexion with blue eyes and brown hair.
He is currently serving a sentence of two years and two months for failing to comply with court conditions, property and drug crimes.
