An electric vehicle charger is now available at the Western Development Museum in Saskatoon.
It was recently added as part of a parking lot expansion plan.
Jason Wall, museum manager, said they made the investment to give people with electric cars another reason to stick around.
“This is a value-added service that we’re providing… they can plug in and charge up their car while they’re visiting the museum,” he said.
He’s happy with the response he’s seen so far.
“It’s been amazing. I’m not sure how people find out about these things, but in days it was actually being used.”
Wall also pointed out the environmental benefits.
“It’s a step forward in being environmentally friendly and environmentally conscious about our carbon footprint.”
