A man in Aylesbury has got quite the deal for you.
Cliff Luther told 650 CKOM’s The Brent Loucks show, that they’ve had a very special rock in their family for more than 40 years.
He said years of erosion carved out the letters “H” and “I” on the rock, making it the “Hi” rock.
Luther said the rock is 100 per cent authentic and can be yours for $7.2 million. That’s what he has it listed for on Facebook marketplace.
“Well, we’re trying to pay a few bills around the farm here, and the rest of the bills will just have to wait,” he said laughing.
Luther said he had to come up with a number to impress his buddies on coffee row, and landed on the multi-million dollar figure after having a meeting with a shop owner in Vancouver.
“There was a gentleman there who sold Fabergé eggs and hats that cost $135,000 and he looked at the rock and he said, God only knows what that rock is worth,” said Luther. “So I figured there’s movies and entertainment and they’re worth millions—and a million dollars isn’t what it used to be.”
When asked if anyone can to take a look at the rock, Luther gave an emphatic no.
“It’s actually being guarded by 15 vicious dogs, and I’m like old Burnsie there (in reference to Simpsons character Mr. Burns). If anybody came to see the rock, I’d release the hounds,” Luther said, laughing.
