Saskatoon police were led on a police chase Sunday to arrest a man suspected of stealing two snowmobiles.
A media release states police received a call at 10:12 a.m. from a driver that a was following a truck towing two stolen snowmobiles.
The vehicle was quickly spotted and followed into Brighton where police attempted to pull the vehicle over.
The driver instead evaded police and drove eastbound on Highway 5 before turning southbound on Zimmerman Road and then westbound on 8th Street.
A spike strip was used to deflate tires on the truck and the trailer before the driver attempted to flee on foot.
Police called in a K9 unit to track down the 47-year-old. He suffered dog bite injuries during the arrest.
He faces numerous charges, including dangerous driving, evading police, possession of stolen property and has multiple warrants from the R.C.M.P.
