More adult players are now investing in the protective equipment.
With the weather turning cold in Saskatoon, crews are getting ready for another season at Optimist Hill.
“Hopefully next week getting the equipment out, and start making some snow,” Robb Letts told 650 CKOM’s Brent Loucks on Thursday, adding they hope to be open by the end of the month.
The revamped hill at Diefenbaker Park debuted in February featuring a tubing area, ski and snowboard runs, and a terrain park.
Sixty-five hundred people visited the park during its abbreviated first season.
Letts said the free toboggan area will be open this year. It had been closed last year due to safety issues.
