This fall has seen a mixed bag of weather, from snow to double digit temperatures, and the mild days are good news for some businesses that rely on the weather, like golf courses.
Andrew Roberts is the Director of Recreation and Community Development for the City of Saskatoon.
He said the mostly mild autumn has resulted in a 10 per cent increase at the city owned golf courses.
“We’ve seen a little bit of an increase over last year, especially with last years fall weather not being that good,” said Roberts.
Roberts said at this time of year, the weather is always the factor that determines how long they stay open.
“We still have some holes open, obviously we play it day-by-day based on the weather at this time of year, so we’re hoping to keep the 18 hole course open through this weekend.”
