After three and a half years Tim Sinclair-Smith is leaving his post as manager at the Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park and Zoo.
Sinclair-Smith has accepted a position to oversee the new Ningaloo Centre, a multi-purpose facility in his home country, Australia.
“There’s art galleries, there’s the tourist centre, there’s a library and an aquarium, so I still get to dabble in the zoo and aquarium stuff,” said Sinclair-Smith.
Sinclair-Smith said it’s a bit bittersweet, as he will miss the zoo and the people he worked with. He said the zoo is an amazing site, that has tremendous potential and a great future.
But there’s one thing he won’t miss.
“I’d be lying if I said we weren’t looking forward to the sunshine and the beaches as opposed to the incoming winter,” Sinclair-Smith laughed.
Sinclair-Smith and his family are expected to return to Australia next month.
