Among other things, people in Saskatoon will be giving thanks this Thanksgiving weekend for the sunshine.
There’s no rain or snow in the forecast.
However, temperatures will be colder than average.
Terri Lang, a meteorologist with Environment Canada, explained the cooler temperatures.
“There’s a winter storm going on in Manitoba right now, so we’re getting a little wind because of it, so it’s making it feel a little bit colder,” she told 650 CKOM.
“But that should ease off during the weekend.”
She said caution is important for people travelling to see their family.
“Just because it’s nice here doesn’t mean it’s nice at your destination, so please check the conditions to where you’re going and the Highway Hotline,” she urged.
Farmers in the area will be glad to hear there’s little chance of moisture.
“We may see some flurry activity (on Monday), but at this time, it doesn’t look like it’s centered around southern Saskatchewan. More so Alberta.”
Saturday and Sunday have highs of plus 9 and plus 8, respectively. Monday will cool down a bit to plus 5.
