The 2019-20 season is officially over for a Saskatchewan junior hockey player, just seven games in.
Former Yorkton Terriers forward Greg Mulhall was released by the team Sunday after he appeared in a profanity-laced video which was posted to social media.

The SJHL also cut ties with him, banning him for the remainder of the season.

Before the video, Mulhall was serving a 25-game suspension for a head shot on Melville Millionaires goalie Berk Berkeliev on Sept. 14.
The two players collided when Berkeliev left his crease to play the puck. He suffered a concussion and lost several teeth.
SJHL league president Bill Chow said it was one of the longest suspensions in recent memory, and the choice to ban Mulhall was made by both the league, and the team.
“(The video) was not favourable for for anybody in light of the situation, and so that was the decision to move forward and sever ties with Mulhall.”
Chow said the SJHL social media policy is usually presented to players early on in the season, for when the teams rosters are “settled down a little bit.”
“Obviously, (in this case) something was missed there, or the message didn’t get out there.”
The league did not say if Mulhall will be eligible to return next season, but before he plays in any Hockey Canada sanctioned game, he will have to serve the final 20 games of the original 25 game suspension.
As of Monday, Sept. 30, the Terriers have played seven games so far this season, posting one win and six losses.
