A police standoff with a potentially armed man ended peacfully in Martensville Thursday morning.
According to an RCMP media release, officers were negotiating with a man barricaded inside a home, threatening to harm officers and himself.
A permiter was established around the house and residents were evacuated.
The situation was resolved just before 8 a.m. with the man being arrested without incident.
RCMP said a firearm was located in the home, but was not on the suspect when he surrendered.
Charges are not expected.
