The Saskatoon sky will explode with colour Friday and Saturday night as the Nutrien Fireworks Festival will take over the downtown riverbank.
Organizer Shad Ali said there will be a lot of options for those who want to watch the fireworks, including Rotary Park, Riverlanding and around the Traffic Bridge.
Ali said there will be more than just the fireworks for everyone to enjoy. “They’ll be able to shop the food trucks and art vendors that will be along the Traffic Bridge.”
There will also be entertainment and a family fun zone.
The fireworks festival also means road closures along the riverbank. The Traffic Bridge and connecting roads are closed until Sunday. The Broadway Bridge remains open during the day, but is closed Friday and Saturday night starting at 7 p.m.
The fireworks will begin at around 9:30 p.m.
