Oilfield death confirmed near Stoughton

A man is dead after an incident in the oilfield on Monday afternoon.

Crescent Point Energy confirmed in a press release that an employee of Aaron Well Servicing passed away at a Crescent Point site outside of Stoughton.

STARS air ambulance was dispatched from Regina to the Stoughton area at 12:48 p.m. for a scene call emergency, according to their Twitter feed.

Crescent Point stated that immediately after notification of the incident, they initiated their corporate emergency response and secured the site to ensure the ongoing safety of staff, the community, and environment. They will release no further comments at this time. Work in the area appears to be halted for the time being.
