The Regina Pats are taking the WHL to the great outdoors.
The Pats and Regina Exhibition Association Limited (REAL) announced Monday that Mosaic Stadium will play host to an outdoor game on Oct. 27. The Pats are to face the Calgary Hitmen in what’s being called the Prairie Classic.
The game is to be played one day after the Winnipeg Jets and Calgary Flames are to play at Mosaic Stadium in the Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic.
It’s the second outdoor game for the Pats and Hitmen, who played at Calgary’s McMahon Stadium in 2011.
Tickets are to go on sale Aug. 29 at 10 a.m., on Ticketmaster. The cost for general seating is set at $18.50.
Pats season-ticket holders will see outdoor tickets uploaded into their My Pats Accounts on Tuesday, meaning purchases aren’t required. More information can be found on the Pats’ website.
“We are extremely excited to be part of Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic Week,” Pats governor Anthony Marquart said in a media release. “We have worked hard with our partners at REAL to make this possible, to be able to showcase our club outdoors at Mosaic Stadium will be an event no one will forget.”
