A traffic stop on the Trans-Canada Highway near Indian Head on Thursday turned up more than RCMP officers expected.
Officers pulled over a car at about 11:45 a.m., after getting calls about erratic driving.
Inside the car, officers found items including fake identity documents and bank cards, equipment that could make counterfeit documents, cheques made out to the names on the fake documents, electronic equipment that could be used to intercept signals, and meth.
A 29-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman from North Bay, Ont., were arrested and charged with dangerous driving, possession of false identity documents, possession of an instrument for the use of creating counterfeit tokens of value, possession of stolen property, possession of a Schedule 1 substance, and breach of recognizance.
They’re to appear in Provincial Court in Fort Qu’Appelle on Monday.
