I believe that the Saskatchewan Roughriders will win, but win differently Friday in Montreal.
Even though the Montreal Alouettes are 3-3-0 on the season, the team has just five sacks. No player has more than one sack in 2019.
Riders quarterback Cody Fajardo said it best. It is a defence that drops back into coverage a lot. Fajardo put Friday’s game into perspective when he said that he would have to be patient.
The intermediate passing game may be the key to success for the Green and White. The Riders have proven they have a deep threat in Shaq Evans, but don’t be surprised to see inside receivers Cory Watson or Naaman Roosevelt have a huge game.
William Powell may play a big role on the ground, and this isn’t to suggest that Fajardo won’t or shouldn’t attempt to stretch the Alouettes’ defence. But a more methodical approach will serve the Riders well at Percival Molson Stadium.
