A man wielding multiple syringes while exposing himself in a parking garage was arrested Sunday.
Police were called to a downtown parking garage in the 100 block of 1st Avenue South around 2:40 p.m. to help security officers with a man that was exposing himself to the public.
Officers arrived to find the naked man that confined himself by climbing into a small crawl space near a stairwell. A news release from Saskatoon police said he appeared to be intoxicated by drugs and was behaving erratically. The 33-year-old man was holding several syringes in his hands and waved them at police before officers were able to subdue him by deploying two Tasers.
Medavie Health Services West transported the man to St. Paul’s Hospital where he was treated for his injures from the Tasers and his high level of intoxication.
He faces charges of indecent exposure and breach of probation. The confrontation also led to an arrest on an outstanding warrant for breach of probation. He will appear before a Justice of the Peace on Monday.
