Police used a Taser to arrest a man that ran on foot after unlawfully confining several people in a home Saturday.
The 34-year-old man entered the home on Minto Place around 5:50 p.m. with a knife and threatened multiple people in the home, according to a Saskatoon police media release.
He ran from the house when police arrived. As police attempted to apprehend him in the backyard, the man reached for a knife and had an officer use a Taser on him.
He now faces charges of robbery, assault with a weapon, five counts of unlawful confinement as well as breaches of several court ordered conditions.
No one was injured, and the file will be reviewed by Saskatoon police.
