Tiki Laverdiere attended the funeral of Tristen Cook-Buckle on the Thunderchild First Nation in the days before her death.
Now, Cook-Buckle’s mother Nicole Cook is charged in Laverdiere’s homicide.
RCMP arrested and charged Cook with first-degree murder, kidnapping, improperly interfering with a human body and theft of a motor vehicle.
Cook is from Edmonton and was arrested in Fort Saskatchewan, Alta. on Wednesday.
Jesse Sangster was also arrested on July 28 and is charged with accessory after the fact to murder and theft of a motor vehicle.
Both are set to appear in court Friday morning, alongside the three others charged in connection to Laverdiere`s death.
