A man is in custody after getting caught with weapons outside Saskatoon’s Royal University Hospital early Sunday morning.
Police say hospital security noticed the man outside the staff break area with a knife around 2 a.m.
When officers arrived, they searched the 24-year-old’s backpack and also found a sawed off rifle and bolt cutters.
The man is now facing a number of gun- and weapons-related charges.
He will appear before a Justice of the Peace Sunday evening.
This incident comes exactly a week after a nurse was robbed outside St. Paul’s Hospital.
