Ag in Motion showcases the latest in technology in the industry.
All 640 acres of land near Langham are packed with innovation, and at the Dot Technology Corporation Demo area, it’s all about autonomous operation.
A little demonstration at the Dot Demo tent, this is autonomous technology (no one’s in the drivers seat).

Connect Project Lead Timothy Pattison said the new technology has its perks for the producer.
“(They can) make more informed decisions on their crop management by not having to sit in a cab, but take the time to walk their fields and see what is happening for themselves,” Pattison said.
Pattison said this technology is also better for overall safety, especially when it comes to chemicals in the field.
The system works through a tablet, which controls the “DOT ready” implement and requires no driver to physically be in the implement.
“DOT ready” includes fitting the implement onto the chassis, as well as ensuring the technology works within the machine.
There is still a bit of work for the producer, as the product will still need to be loaded into the unit.
Ag in Motion continues Wednesday until 4 p.m., and will conclude its three-day agriculture show Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
