Saskatoon police used a taser early Saturday morning after a man attacked two officers.
Around 1 a.m. officers conducted a traffic stop on the 1000 block of McKercher Drive.
Police arrested the woman driving following an impairment investigation and told the 36-year-old passenger he was free to go.
Instead of leaving, police said in a media release, that he tried to get into the marked police vehicle then attacked two officers.
A taser was used to get control of the situation and officers were able to arrest the man.
Paramedics treated the two officers and the 36-year-old man for minor injuries.
Police charged him with assaulting an officer.
The woman driving received a 120-day roadside suspension and her vehicle is impounded for two weeks.
