A 10-year-old boy is recovering in hospital after suffering serious burns from a a fire in Shellbrook.
Parkland Ambulance initially sent a media release saying the boy poured gasoline on the fire and suffered serious burns to his face and hands on Friday.
Then a correction media release was issued Monday morning, saying no gasoline was poured on the fire, and the boy was burned because he was standing too close to a fire pit that was being lit.
He was transferred to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, where he is recovering in stable condition.
