RCMP are on the lookout for an inmate who escaped custody over the weekend.
According to a police media release, 30-year-old Randy Timothy Venne left a correctional facility near Pinehouse around 10:00 p.m. on Saturday.
He was spotted a few hours later on Highway 165, Mounties believe he could be on his way to La Ronge.
RCMP said Venne is potentially dangerous and should not be approached.
Anyone with information regarding Venne’s whereabouts is asked to contact Saskatchewan RCMP at 306-310-RCMP or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
The Besnard Lake Correctional Camp is an open custody facility located roughly 365 kilometres north of Saskatoon.
