8:30 – Alberta’s newly-minted Premier Jason Kenney will be in Saskatchewan today taking in the Saskatchewan Oil and Gas Show in Weyburn, where he’ll participate in a joint panel discussion with Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe. Oil and gas have been top-of-mind for Kenney since his election, and he recently met a campaign promise to end the consumer carbon tax in Alberta. The province will continue to tax large greenhouse gas emitters, and Kenney’s promised to level a constitutional challenge if the federal carbon tax is imposed in Alberta. Kenney joins John now to discuss carbon taxes, oil and gas, and the strong relationship between our provinces.
