Marquis Downs will be making a few changes for the 2019 horse racing season.
Admission to the track will cost $5 for adults. People under 18 will still get in for free.
In a media release, Marquis Downs explained it relies on corporate sponsorships and betting to make ends meet and needed to raise admission to maintain the track’s level of entertainment.
Enhanced printed programs can also be purchased or packaged with the cost of admission.
Another change for the season–the Terrace Restaurant will change to buffet-only.
The season opens on May 31.
