Saskatoon police had to use stop sticks to apprehend and arrest a man who tried to flee officers Sunday afternoon.
Police spotted the 38-year-old that was previously wanted for a recent assault around 1:40 p.m. Officers tried to stop the vehicle he was driving multiple times before using stop sticks on 33rd Street. That still didn’t deter the driver.
He kept moving until police were able to apprehend him in the Archibald McDonald Park area after chasing him for a few blocks on foot.
A media release from police said the man will be in court on Monday. He is facing numerous charges.
