SaskTel Centre is the site for the National Lacrosse League’s west division semi-final between the Saskatchewan Rush and Colorado Mammoth.
Both teams know what to expect Friday after facing each other less than a week ago.
The Rush stormed out to an 8-0 lead on their way to a 13-8 win over Colorado in the regular season finale last Saturday.
“They’ll be a lot better than they were last week,” Rush goaltender Evan Kirk told the Green Zone Thursday.
“They’ve got a lot of pieces. They got one of the best goalies in the league. Ton of defenders and lost of offensive power.”
The Rush won their sixth division crown after going 11-7 in the regular season.
Three of those wins came against the Mammoth, however, coach Derrek Keenan says that means nothing in the postseason with one loss ending a team’s season.
“They’ve had their struggles, but there’s a lot of capable guys so we’re going to have to be really good.”
The game starts at 7:30 p.m., the doors open at SaskTel Centre at 6:00 p.m.
