A couple of two-storey homes in Saskatoon’s Evergreen neighbourhood went up in flames Saturday evening.
It all began around 4:30 p.m. when firefighters were called to a house fire on Salloum Union.
When crews arrived, they found the fire had spread to a second home and it was burning on both second levels.
After confirming all occupants were evacuated from the houses, firefighters began attacking the blaze from the outside to protect neighbouring properties.
By 5:20 p.m., crews were able to start fighting the fire from inside the homes.
The Saskatoon Fire Department remained on-scene putting out hot spots as of 7 p.m.
What sparked the blaze is still under investigation.
