A fire in the Lakeview neighbourhood early Friday morning caused extensive damage to a home at 534 Wollaston Terrace and melted the siding next door.
In a media release, Saskatoon Fire Department said a neighbour banged on the door when they noticed the blaze, which notified the only person inside something was wrong.
Crews arrived at the scene shortly after 4:45 a.m. and found the front of the home and attached garage fully engulfed in flames.
The blaze was under control in 20 minutes and completely out after an hour, the department said in its release.
A fire investigator was on the scene Friday morning and had not determined the cause of the blaze or how much damage it caused.
