The Prince Albert Police Service has confirmed they are investigating the death of an infant girl who was struck by a vehicle Sunday night in the Art Hauser Centre parking lot.
According to a police news release, a truck was travelling at a very low speed when it hit the girl. She was transported by ambulance to hospital where she died.
A truck was towed away later in the evening.
A statement from Parkland Ambulance said paramedics cared for a one-year-old female child with critical injuries.
Police and the coroner’s office are working together to investigate the incident, which took place prior to the final game of the Senator’s Cup.
A prayer was said before the final game for the young girl struck by a truck.
