Prince Albert police have launched an investigation after a shocking and tragic incident at an apartment building downtown.
A small child is believed to have been murdered at the Rivercrest apartments on 11th Street.W.
Officers were called to the building at noon Wednesday for a two-year-old boy who was reportedly unconscious.
He later died at Victoria Hospital.
An autopsy Thursday concluded this was a homicide.
The Criminal Investigations Division and Forensic teams are involved.
Police said there was no threat to public safety at this time.
