Cardboard chaos comes fast and furious for Rock 102’s Cardboard Cup at the new Optimist Hill at Diefenbaker Parker on Saturday.
Rock 102’s Jonny Hardcore said on Friday that creations of all kinds will be on display.
“We have a massive tank coming,” he said. “It is going to be something else.”
Participants create their best sleds made of only cardboard, duct tape, string and glue for the chance to win prize packs and 3-day ski vacation to Jasper.
The event will be at the new Optimist Hill for the first time and Jonny said the crew have been hard at work for many months.
“They made snow when we had the minus 30’s and minus 40’s in February. They knew (the warm weather) was coming and made extra snow for us,” he said.
Festivities begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday with the event wrapping up at 1 p.m.
