Saskatoon police have opened a murder investigation in the death of a 31-year-old man Tuesday night.
Officers responded to a report of an injured man in an alleyway on the 100 block of Avenue Q South around 7 p.m.
Medavie Ambulance took him to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
An investigation by the major crimes section also led police to the 200 block of Avenue S South.
Traffic was following through the area just north of St. Paul’s Hospital Wednesday morning, but officers remained at the scenes.
In a media release late Wednesday morning, police said major crimes have identified persons of interest in the case, but have not reported any arrests.
