Most of us simply enjoy a good jolt from our morning coffee, but a Saskatoon woman is being awarded with a life-changing prize.
Kia Powery rolled up the rim to win a brand new 2019 Jeep Compass when she pulled back the fold on a brew she bought recently at a Saskatoon Tim Hortons.
The win could not have come at a better time for her.
“The day before I won the Jeep, I had to get my car boosted (and) my jumper cables snapped in the cold. I had to get a ride to work. It was an awful day,” Powery said. “Every day since I won the Jeep, something else has gone wrong with my (old) vehicle.”
On Friday, she described the range of emotions she felt after winning the Jeep.
“It started with confusion because I didn’t really know what I had won. And then once I realized what I had won, it was like a panic because I didn’t know what was next,” Powery said.
She said she is looking forward to a road trip to Banff in her new SUV.
