Saskatoon’s new children’s museum has reached its fundraising goal.
According to a media release issued Thursday, the Nutrien Wonderhub capped its $14.5 million KidApproved capital campaign following a $250,000 donation from Leslie and Irene Dubé.
The money will allow the Nutrien Wonderhub to move into the former Mendel Art Gallery building and fill it with exhibits and programming meant to provide fun and educational experiences for kids.
The Dubés will be recognized for their gift at the Wonderhub’s North Woods, described in a press release as “an exhibit designed to embody the spirit of northern Saskatchewan” that will house a gathering space where children and adults can take part in an immersive story-telling experience.
The Nutrien Wonderhub is scheduled to open later this year.
