A 27-year-old man is in custody following a standoff at a downtown Saskatoon apartment building.
Police were called to the 2nd Avenue Lofts building at 120 23rd St. East around midnight Tuesday following a report of a man threatening another man with a rifle.
Officers arrived to find the suspect refusing to leave his apartment.
Crisis negotiators and the tactical unit were called in, along with firefighters and paramedics.
Traffic was blocked on Second Avenue, as was a portion of the curb lane on 23rd Street.
The man was eventually arrested without incident by around 8 a.m., with traffic restrictions lifted shortly afterwards.
Police said firearms charges are pending.
