The Saskatchewan SPCA is asking for help getting winter supplies and pet food to help people in need care for their animals.
With extreme cold gripping the province this week, SPCA community relations director Josh Hourie said they are hoping to collect items like blankets, heated water bowls and dog booties and coats.
“We realize that there are a lot of people that need some assistance when it comes to protecting themselves from the cold. But there’s also lots of animals and lots of pets.”
Donations can be dropped off at Critters Pet Store locations in Saskatoon, the Saskatoon Food Bank and Learning Centre or at the Saskatchewan SPCA office at 519 45 Street W.
Items will be distributed at the food bank and the Friendship Inn.
