Nearly a day-and-a-half after 30 CN Rail cars came off the tracks north of Saskatoon, traffic is starting to get back to normal on Highway 11.
The City of Saskatoon announced both southbound lanes of traffic past the derailment site had reopened Wednesday evening.
One lane of northbound traffic also opened, although some speed and traffic restrictions were still in place.
Detours around the site began Tuesday morning following the derailment.
Glad to hear the crew is ok. This was the remote unit, no crew members occupying it and it derailed in front of it. Just a reminder to not park close at a crossing. Not sure the cause yet, and it was grain cars, no dangerous cars. NOTE – not my footage

The cars spilled grain across the highway and into a neighbouring field.
One locomotive began leaking diesel fuel which quickly caught fire, spewing heavy black smoke seen for miles.
The cause of the derailment remains under investigation.
