Saskatoon fire crews pulled a man from a burning apartment Saturday evening in the Pleasant Hill area.
Firefighters responded to the apartment building at 127 Avenue U South around 6:20 p.m.
They found flames in a suite on the second floor.
One man was in the suite at the time and firefighters were able to get him out safely.
Paramedics transported him to hospital with unknown injuries.
Firefighters evacuated several other people from the building as a precaution.
Only one-second floor suite sustained fire damage, but heavy smoke damaged the rest of the building.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
Preliminary estimates peg damage at $250,000.
