A 38-year-old man was left with stitches and a date in court after being caught at the scene of a break-in Monday evening in Saskatoon.
Shortly before 11:30 p.m. a resident in the 200 block of Ave X South woke up to his alarm going off and someone in his garage.
A canine officer and his partner arrived to find the suspect still in the garage.
The officer instructed the suspect to surrender, however, police say the suspect attempted to run with stolen property in hand.
He was quickly arrested, and transported to hospital to be treated for dog bites.
