The Prince Albert Police Service says one person is in custody and charges are pending following a pursuit through the city Tuesday.
Police say a male suspect stole a parked FedEx van from the 1400 Block of Central Ave. around 10:45 a.m. The driver of the van was unloading the vehicle when the it happened.
A release from the Prince Albert Police Service said police chased the van until it reached the Hazeldell area north of the city and attempted to make a traffic stop. However, the driver ignored the police lights and sirens, and hit the police vehicle, before heading back into Prince Albert and south through the city along Second Ave. W.
Part of the pursuit was caught on the dash cam video of a passing vehicle.

The driver continued south toward Saskatoon along Highway 11, at reckless speeds according to police.
Prince Albert officers coordinated with members of the RCMP to stop the vehicle and the suspect was successfully apprehended in the Hague area.
