Murray Wood: Of Easter bunny bells and Juicy Fruit gum
For Murray Wood, Easter brings to mind grandma's practical advice about repurposing, and some of life's little lessons.
The Saskatchewan Waste Reduction Council (SWRC) has partnered with ATMO, an Ontario-based company, to recycle expired car seats.
Until Wednesday, car seats can be dropped off at Ready Set Baby in Saskatoon and Hello Baby in Regina.
People have to register their seat and pay a $5 fee online before arriving at the stores.
According to SWRC, the fee covers part of the cost of dismantling seats and typically costs $18.
The fee is lower in Saskatchewan thanks to municipal and provincial subsidies.
