The city of Saskatoon is asking residents to be extra vigilant after a City Hall phone number was used in a scam.
The city issued a warning Thursday after a resident reported they were contacted by someone using the main phone number at the city’s corporate revenue customer service centre.

The city is reminding people they don’t offer credit card products, and banking information for the TIPPS program is typically collected through application forms.
Anyone who receives a suspicious phone call is asked to call 306-975-2400.
