A brief hearing was held Tuesday in Melfort Provincial Court as the case against the truck driver charged in connection with the Humboldt Broncos bus crash continued.
Jaskirat Singh Sidhu did not appear in court. Rather, his lawyer arranged for almost a month-long adjournment in the case, telling the judge he needed more time to review evidence .
Sidhu’s next court date is Nov. 27.
He faces 16 charges of dangerous driving causing death and another 13 charges of dangerous driving causing injury stemming from the April 6 crash.
