Police are looking for suspects in a pair of frauds targeting Saskatoon businesses.
Saskatoon Crime Stoppers posted a bulletin Thursday including a photo of two men, believed to be a team of travelling scammers out of either Quebec or Ontario.
The pair allegedly used a sophisticated credit card scam to bilk two businesses out of a total of $4,000.
The scam reportedly involved the men coming in to make a purchase, usually in high-volume stamps. One of the men allegedly distracted the cashier while the other used a stolen credit card and a PIN pad code to give himself a refund.
In its post, Crime Stoppers suggested the men would likely either be staying at a Saskatoon hotel, or may recently have left one. They asked anyone who might know of their whereabouts to call in a tip to 1-800-222-8477, or call Saskatoon police at 306-975-8300.
