With a two-year moratorium on selling liquor permits now over in Saskatchewan, it looks like one of the country’s biggest chains has already taken advantage of the new rules.
The Real Canadian Superstore announced Tuesday it has opened its first Saskatchewan liquor store at its location on Broadway Street in Yorkton.
In a media release, the company said its new location would offer hundreds of varieties of beer, wine and cider. Superstore also committed to having space dedicated exclusively to Canadian-made products.
The Sobey’s and Co-Op grocery chains already operate liquor stores in communities around the province.
