RCMP have charged William Rhode, 37, with several offences in connection to a traffic stop and chase that hurt an officer.
On Monday morning, an officer stopped a vehicle on Highway 40 west of Richard.
According to Mounties, the driver turned around and hit the officer before fleeing.
Battlefords RCMP tracked down the vehicle on a grid road north of Speers.
During the pursuit, police used spike belts to try to stop the vehicle.
Several RCMP cruisers were damaged during the chase.
On Tuesday, RCMP announced Rhode, from North Battleford, is charged with nine offences including assaulting an officer, possession of stolen property and robbery.
